Jeannie was very friendly and kind! She made us feel at home and food was served piping hot! Atmosphere was great music was adequate in volume and tv was functional! We will be back again just for her hospitality! She made us feel right at home and treated us like her own family very grateful we had her as our server! Thanks millers for hiring such a wonderful and sweet waitress like her!

What started as a normal day ended up turning into a pretty enjoyable and unexpected visit. A friend wanted to hang out, but he had some business he needed to take care of first. I was cool with tagging along, so after running a few errands, the next question was where we were going to eat. After debating a few places, we landed on Miller’s Ale House in Schaumburg. Neither of us was that hungry, but funny enough, we had been talking about wings earlier. Once wings are already on your mind, sometimes you just have to get them. We decided to split their Wednesday special, 12 wings for $12. I got six peach spicy BBQ and my friend got six spicy garlic. We purposely chose flavors we each wanted but knew we could still share. The wings took around 15 minutes and came out completely sauced up. They were medium-sized, and I started with my peach spicy BBQ. Peach and BBQ might sound like an interesting combination, but if mango habanero works, why can’t peach? What surprised me was that you could actually taste all three parts. The peach is the strongest, giving it a sweet and fruity flavor right away. Then comes a light kick of spice. Nothing that’s going to spice you up, but enough that you notice it. Finally, the BBQ makes its entrance and brings everything together. As you keep eating, all three flavors start mixing really well. The wings had some crispness, especially the flats, but it was definitely on the lighter side. Some parts had a nice little crisp when you bit into them while other parts weren’t quite as crispy. The sauces were definitely what stood out most to me. Eventually my friend and I traded a wing, and I tried his spicy garlic. I think I need to start ordering spicy garlic more often. It’s such a simple concept. You have that familiar Buffalo flavor with minced garlic added to it, but boy does it smack. The garlic gives it another layer without overpowering the Buffalo. I really enjoyed the peach spicy BBQ, but if I had to pick between the two, the spicy garlic stole the show. Funny enough, it wasn’t even the flavor I ordered. The Wednesday deal was a nice surprise too. Twelve wings for $12 nowadays is a pretty solid deal, especially when you can split them between two flavors. I also have to give credit to our waitress. She was personable, attentive, and on top of everything throughout the visit. There are TVs everywhere, the bar had a decent crowd, and the whole place had a chill but lively feel to it, especially for a Wednesday. At the end of the day, this was one of those random stops that turned into a good time. The wings were solid, I found a new appreciation for spicy garlic, the service was great, and the atmosphere made it an easy place to hang out for a while. I don’t know if the wings alone would be what brings me back, but Miller’s has enough going for it that I’d definitely return. Plus, I kept seeing their chicken tenders called “Zingers,” and now I feel like I have unfinished business. Those might have to be the move next time. Wings: 7.25/10
