Surprised? I was. Though I’ve eaten at Miller’s Ale House in both Jacksonville, Orlando and Ocala, I guess I was expecting, well, not what we got. What’d we get you ask? A really good Bowl with grilled Salmon, cilantro rice, tomato, pickled onion (yum), lettuce and a green sauce and a salmon-colored sauce - I can’t recall the names but it added a great flavor. I can’t do spicy, and I didn’t. Not to say it was well flavored, it was. I have had mixed experience with ‘bowls’; wonderful to so awful I couldn’t even eat it (awful was at a local Gainesville Cuban place founded in Alachua). There are two bowl or wrap places in town where you walk down a bar and they offer choices depending on what you ordered. Those are both good. A local restaurant, a big chain type in front of Oaks Mall, always serves decent food but the Mediterranean Bowl, although pretty good does not even hold a candle to Millers Ale House bowl. The restaurant is on Archer Road in the convenient Celebration/Bass Pro area of/next to Butler Plaza (BP is a warren of roads, stores, offices, eateries, even high end clothing. I avoid it at all costs!) did I mention service. Our ‘girl’ was very attentive, got things right the first time and brought our victuals surprisingly fast given the 7 of us ordered a variety of meals - just sorry I didn’t get her name. One last thing- it was NOT so loud you couldn’t even talk, unlike many other places.
Bottom Line: ✅yummy, ✅easy, ✅delicious? yep. yep. yep. 💯
