My name is Yanira Alers, a Crohn’s patient for over 20 years and the founder of HappyGut HappyLife Corp, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting individuals with digestive conditions such as IBD and IBS to empathetic restaurants willing to modify their menus so we can dine safely, confidently, and without fear.
First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude. Thank you for your empathy, your care, and your willingness to adapt my meal according to my needs. What may seem like a small gesture to some makes a life-changing difference for us. Because of you, I was able to enjoy a safe, positive, and worry-free dining experience.
It is with great appreciation that I thank you for the empathy and care you demonstrated during my visit to your restaurant. I’m truly grateful that your team took the time to modify the menu to accommodate my dietary needs as a patient living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Your flexibility not only allowed me to enjoy a safe meal, but also a meaningful moment with my loved ones.
Because of your commitment to customer well-being, I’m pleased to inform you that your restaurant will be featured in the official HappyGut HappyLife Corp network of empathetic food establishments. You will be included in our mobile application and website so that more individuals with digestive conditions can discover your location as a safe space to dine with confidence and comfort. Kim was amazing and John Bove have a lot of empathy and he knows a lot of Crohn's eating information. thank you
